Getting Rid Of Bed Bugs: You Can Win The Bug War!

It's not easy getting rid of bed bugs. It helps to know what to look for. Red or brown stains on the sheets are evidence of bed bug infestation. Any time you notice such evidence of bed bugs when you are staying at a hotel or motel you should demand that they give you another room.

Getting rid of bed bugs can be an extremely difficult task because most people don't even realize they have them. Bed bugs tend to hide until they come out to feed, which is just before sunrise. It is at this time that most of them can be seen by just shining a flashlight on them. Adult bed bugs are about the size of apple seeds, while the younger ones may be too small to view with the human eye.

There are retail spray that are supposed to help eliminate bedbugs from your home, but they aren't always 100% effective. Bedbugs are so tiny, and if only a few of them escape the spray they will reproduce and you will be stuck in the same dilemma in a few weeks.

The first step in the process of getting rid of bedbugs is a thorough cleaning, beginning with stripping the beds. Thoroughly vaccum each living area, and treat your couch as well as your mattress. Many people do not realize that bed bugs can and will travel with you wherever you go. Linens must be treated in water heated to at least 113 degrees in order to kill the bugs, and it may be easier to just replace your mattress.

The best way of bedbug eradication is attacking them in places where you would least expect them. You would think they are mainly indigenous to your bed, but they can also live in wall cracks and other areas. A good recommendation is to get some caulk and cover the cracks with them preventing bugs from going in.

Calling a "pest control" is the number one way to eliminate bed bugs. Suppose you are not positive the bed but is there, it is better to take care of it any ways then to be sorry later. Experts will come over and spray with some type of chemicals to get rid of the bugs, in sensitive areas such as where you sit and touch they will use hot steam to kill the bed bugs.

Bed bugs hide in dark places until the sun comes up, and can be easily seen with a light source such as a flashlight. Permanently getting rid of bed bugs can be a very challenging task. Calling a pest control expert experienced in bedbug eradication is the best way to eliminate bed bugs. There are sprays you can purchase which will help eradicate bed bugs, but the majority of these sprays do not work as well as we wish they would. If only two bed bugs escape during the process, they will reproduce, creating another bed bug infestation.
